Electro Magnets
Also aptly named, electromagnet is a type of magnet which the magnetic field is obtained from the electric. The magnetic field is generated when the electrical current is turned on and disappears when the current ceases, that is, electromagnet needs a continuous supply of electrical current to maintain the magnetic field which unlike the permanent magnets. Danish scientist Hans Christian Ørsted fist discovered that electric current can generate magnetic field in 1820. British scientist William Sturgeon invented electromagnet by wound electrified wire around the insulating bar in 1824, then United States scientist Joseph Henry further systematically improved and popularized it. A conventional electro-magnets is manufactured by wrapping the conductive wire in tight coils around the ferrous core. Electromagnet has the capacity to attract or hold ferromagnetic materials with varying degrees of force and to release the objects as required. It is widely served as a core component in motors, generators, loudspeakers, and magnetic separation applications.
Product Classification of Electromagnets:
Round Electromagnets:
Electromagnets, also referenced as electro holding magnet, can attract and hold ferrous workpiece with varying degrees of force and to release the workpiece on command. Round electromagnet is also known as circular electromagnet. Standard round electromagnet is intended to utilize 12V or 24V direct current (DC) power. Round electromagnet is available in a variety of sizes and pull force. Round electromagnet requires little maintenance and offer an efficient and economical option for handling and holding ferromagnetic workpieces in many different applications.
Rectangular Electromagnets:
Besides round electromagnet, the regular-used electromagnets are also usable in rectangular shape or actual box shape. Rectangular electromagnet has the capacity to attract, hold and release ferrous workpiece on command through the application of manageable direct current (DC) electrical current. Rectangular electromagnet is also available in a variety of sizes and pull force. Ferromagnetic workpiece can be safely and securely handled by rectangular electromagnet, then make it commonly used in a variety of manuals and automated applications.
