Magnet Safety Tips
² These magnet safety tips are for all personnel who may use magnetized permanent magnets and magnetic assemblies.
² Person with pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators or other medical devices should avoid being near the magnets.
² Person will steel implants, like joint replacement implants, should avoid being near the magnets.
² Take off watch or jewelry which containing iron and steel when close to magnets.
² Magnetic media, like credit card, floppy discs, and computer hard desk drive should be at least 50mm away from magnets.
² Sensitive electronic instruments should be at least 100mm away from magnets.
² Avoid having a hand or fingers between the magnet and any material containing iron and steel.
² We strongly advise that all magnets are kept out of the reach of kids.
Special Instructions:
² Magnets are fragile and should be handled carefully to avoid chips and breaks.
² Improper use of magnet will cause bodily harm, especially hands and skin.
² Do not attempt to disassemble any magnetized magnetic assemblies.
² Magnetic part should avoid being near the ferrous materials.
² Always wear protective glasses and gloves when handling magnets.
² Magnets and magnetic assemblies must only be installed or removed by professional personnel.
Demagnetization:
² High temperature, mechanical stress, and magnetic field can cause demagnetization.
² Magnets should be stored in their original packaging with a relatively cool and dry environment.
² AlNiCo magnet is easy to be demagnetized, and needs to avoid contacting with opposing magnetic fields.
Shipment Items:
² Magnetized material can be shipped via land, sea and air.
² Air shipment needs to be in accordance with regulations.
Special Concerns:
² Magnets needs to be kept away from sensitive electronic devices.
² Persons with pacemakers or implants should stay clear.
² Disks, credit card, tapes can be erased from contact with magnetic field.
